Emerging toxicological awareness of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances: the...
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are often called ‘forever chemicals’. This colloquialism reflects that many PFAS are recalcitrant to environmental and metabolic...Cross-sectional associations between serum PFASs and inflammatory biomarkers...
Background Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) are widespread and persistent environmental contaminants. Exposure to several PFASs has been associated with altered...Are Fluoropolymers Really of Low Concern for Human and Environmental Health...
Fluoropolymers are a group of polymers within the class of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). The objective of this analysis is to evaluate the evidence regarding the...An overview of the uses of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS)
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are of concern because of their high persistence (or that of their degradation products) and their impacts on human and environmental...A Never-Ending Story of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFASs)?
More than 3000 per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) are, or have been, on the global market, yet most research and regulation continues to focus on a limited selection of...Addressing Urgent Questions for PFAS in the 21st Century
Despite decades of research on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), fundamental obstacles remain to addressing worldwide contamination by these chemicals and their...Supercritical water oxidation for the destruction of spent media wastes...
Granular activated carbon (GAC) and anion exchange resin (AIX) have been successfully demonstrated to remove per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from contaminated water...Remediation of GenX from water by amidoxime surface-functionalized...
As a short-chain PFAS, GenX has gained increasing attention in recent years as a hazardous and emerging contaminant in water bodies. However, there is only limited research...NANOFIBROUS MATERIALS FOR REMEDIATION OF POLY- AND PERFLUOROALKYL SUBSTANCES...
A method of removing a polyfluoroalkyl substance and/or perfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) from water comprising contacting water including the PFAS to a nanofibrous composition...Fate of environmental pollutants: A review
A review of the literature published in 2019 on topics associated with the fate of environmental pollutants is presented. Environmental pollutants covered include...Algae-Enhanced Electrospun Polyacrylonitrile Nanofibrous Membrane for High-...
As a short-chain PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance), GenX was produced in recent years to replace traditional long-chain PFASs, such as perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA)....104 Exposure to Environmental Pollutant GenX Chemical Modulates Innate and...
GenX is an environmental contaminant with wide industrial use and found in drinking water. These chemicals have high bioaccumulation and cause adverse health effects in animals...PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF NOVEL RESINS IN FLOWTHROUGH COLUMNS FOR PFAS...
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are known bioaccumulative and persistent chemicals which pollute natural waters globally. However, there exists a lack of granular...Ionic Fluorogels for Remediation of Per- and Polyfluorinated Alkyl Substances...
Per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFASs) contaminate groundwater, surface water, and finished drinking water internationally. Their ecological persistence and adverse...Hydrolytically Stable Ionic Fluorogels for High-Performance Remediation of...
PFAS are known bioaccumulative and persistent chemicals which pollute natural waters globally. There exists a lack of granular sorbents to efficiently remove both legacy and...Fluoroolefin-vinyl ether copolymer ionic fluorogels for PFAS remediation from...
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a class of toxic chemicals that are ubiquitous in the environment and have contaminated water sources globally. As regulations...Comparative evaluation of PFAS-selective adsorbents in hard-to-treat residual...
The removal of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in complex waste streams remains an urgent environmental challenge due to their persistence and resistance to...
